I am used to the old wordpress editor , and install mostly the classic editor plugin. Maybe I forgot that, set up a new site and imported some content. Now I am stuck with some weird menu options, see the link page.

How to delete this all ….?

There is no connection, between the menu in the classic menu editor, and the displayed menu

Hi @eggbird each theme comes with its own settings or behavior depending on how it was built. Block-Based themes are quite different from the old classic themes, they have a different file structure so migrating content from a classic theme to a block one would likely cause a few things to break or load incorrectly.

Full Site Editor is available on block-based themes, I would suggest checking the theme you are currently using to see if it is block-based or if it will support the site editor.

Before getting started with FSE I would suggest going over the articles below:

If the theme you are using requires certain plugins to function properly I would suggest adding installing and activating those plugins. This will pull over certain settings that you might be missing at the moment.

Thank you, ist’s clear to me. The problem arises unintentionaly . I exported the site as classic site, and imported the site in a block based theme with FSE. I start from scratch ….

Little correction: the WordPress importer seems to support block based menu’s. Classic menu’s ??

Hi @eggbird the WordPress importer gives you an XML file of contents on your site for example?posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags. It should work for both the block and classic themes.

However, it doesn’t take into consideration the customization you have done to the site for example how things are structured/displayed. In other words anything that is related to the theme or plugins.

To move a classic site with its customization you can use migration plugins. For block themes there is an inbuilt option, you can access it by going to the Editor > Options > Export as shown in the short video below.

I am flabbergasted. The same steps I did a few months ago on another site and went perfect. This time I have lot of trouble , around navigation, also without importing items , from scratch. The menu editor seems not to work.
