    Hello.

We own a European business and we need to charge tax to our customers. We are testing your plugin but the plugin doesn’t seem to be sending any tax information when creating payments. It just uses the order total and that’s it. No tax amount gets specified on the Stripe payment page.

We also have some cases where we sell to customers with tax exemption. I also don’t see any options for this. How can we send the customer tax ID to the payment object in Stripe?

Can you please confirm that your plugin doesn’t send any tax information to Stripe? Do you have plant to implement this in the future?

    Hi @poglaa

Tax calculations are handled by the WooCommerce plugin. You configure your tax rates, tax exemptions, VAT tax etc within WooCommerce. Your WooCommerce order then contains all of the tax related line items.

The Stripe payment intent API does not have properties for sending tax data to Stripe, only the payment total.

Stripe has a tax offering similar to TaxJar but that’s an entirely different offering from their payment gateway. They charge a fee for their tax service.

    Kind Regards
