No dashboard icons and general problem with themes

I discovered the problem this morning, it is Dolibarr which is not fully compatible with PHP 8.1 and 8.0. Expect a new release tomorrow, I already fixed it but I am returning from WordCamp Europe in Greece right now, and internet connection is not as good as in the office. If you want it operational immediately, you may use PHP 7.4 instead, I know it is working correctly on it. A tests campaign is being made today on PHP 8.1 to make sure it is working correctly.

For 17.0.2, I will update it probably in the following days but I wanted to have a fully working version 16 before switching to version 17.

Please try 16.0.5.13 version just uploaded, it contains fixes for both PHP 8.x (tested with PHP 8.1 but it should work with PHP 8.2 or 8.0 as well) and CSRF Dolibarr protection which has been renabled and was not working nicely on ajax request, as the check were performed all the time and sometimes not needed.

Please let me known if you have any other problem.

Sorry one more question, I have updated to 16.0.5.13 version, but now I have a problem with adding a product or service to the new proposal, everything is filled up, but when I click add button error “Filed ‘Description’ is required” shows up?

Hi babylonac, I check, it is a strange behaviour you have as intensive tests are made everyday to make sure everything is working nicely.

It seems not to be a problem on DyaPress, but you add a product/service without selecting if it is a product or a service. You have to choose if it is a product or service in the select (on the second screen), but on the first one you selected a product and typed “Service 1”. I made tests on 16.0.5.13 and upcoming 16.0.5.14 and it is working (the later one fixes the session active performance problem of WordPress yet and maybe other problem if found)

For information the 16.05.14 will probably be the last version 16 of DyaPress and the next one will be 17.0.2 (or 17.0.3)

Yes, but I chose a Free-text item option (you could see where is a blue dot next to free text ), so it doesnt matter what is freely written and choose any type (product or servicem, not predefined product/service, i’m not using it) and still have a problem, but that is only for proposal, in invoice department same product/service adding works like a charm.

Ok I managed to reproduce it, strangely it is a bug in MD theme you choose, with ELDY theme it is working nicely, I try to fix it, as a workaround you can switch to eldy theme (is is the default theme)

Just tested, same problem with eldy skin, when i click on add, it vanish type(drop down menu product/service), and given price. And show the same error.

Well, I manage to reproduce it as well, in fact :

• You used MD theme, going back to ELDY theme does not work anymore but the good news is that only your user account has a problem
• Another user who didn’t try MD theme can still add free product without problem…

It is a ugly bug, as now my account is “contamined” on one of the testing WP used, I will try to fix it and include the fix in upcomming 16.0.5.14 as well with another Dolibarr bug which will be fixed in DyaPress and has been found 5 minutes ago (a bug somewhat hard to find)

After other intensive testing under PHP 8, I think your problem is now solved with new 16.0.5.14 with other fixes as well.

Please can you check and report me if is ok now ? I didn’t reproduce it now.

This is what happened after the update, and what I’ve found out. Maybe the issue is with the PDF template but now is usable with this workout.

Ok thanks for your detailed tests and I managed to get it happening sometime but very rarely and using a somewhat big logo as well. I suspect it to be related to a PHP 8 weird incompatibility somewhere in the Dolibarr code but very hard to reproduce, if the problem arises, I just need to select product or service again and try to add and the problem is gone almost forever for all next lines to add.

Please can you check it is working like that ?

I didn’t experienced this problem before, as well during our tests.
