• Hi,

We want to use this plugin to automatically hide blocks from a site at a certain time. It seems to work great, however, we found one hiccup that we’re trying to find a workaround with, the caching.

Our site uses Breeze + Cloudflare caching. The content doesn’t seem to actually be hidden until the cache is cleared for both after the expiration time has passed.

Is there a way we can fix this? Possibly even a setting within the caching plugins? Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Any update on this?

    Thanks.

Hi @inspry, sorry for the delay.

So, the hiccup happens only when Breeze + CloudFlare caching are used? If that is the case, probably the issue is coming from them?

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hi Herman,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the issue happens due to those both being enabled. However, we cannot disable caching from our site completely for this one module or exclude the entire home page from being cached as it would then render the caching useless. Is there a way for you to add a feature or code into the plugin that busts caching and ignores it for your module? Or another way to exclude the module itself from being cached?

    Thanks.

    Hi @inspry,

I think this question should be asked to Breeze or CloudFlare. Is there any way to exclude a specific element on a Page so it won’t get cached? Maybe using the Class or ID?

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Hi Herman,

I asked and they came back with this:

Thanks for elaborating. Unfortunately, there is no such feature on Breeze to exclude classes/ids.

So, they are not open to it. Do you think you could add some sort of cache busting function to the plugin to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi Herman,

    Any update here?

    Thanks!

    Hi @inspry,

Unfortunately, there is no such function or custom code to ignore caching. The only solution for this could be excluding the page from caching or maybe CSS file for the page, if there is such feature available in the cache plugin.

Anyway, you already said that you don’t want to exclude the page from the cache, but I don’t think you have another option.

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
