    Hi,
I’m working on a relaunch of my website and noticed a very long server response time of 1,2 s. When I disable simple lightbox plugin, the loading time of TTFB reduces to 0,6 s! By the way, the plugin generates very many database requests, as I saw in Query Monitor, about 400 requests for a page with only 30 images.

Is there a way to make the plugin faster?

Thanks in advance for your reply!
    Andreas

Hi, SLB uses WordPress’ built-in functionality to retrieve attachment data from the media library. Currently that functionality requires links to be processed individually, but future improvements to WordPress’ functionality may allow faster processing.

That said, 400 DB queries sounds abnormal. Generally, WordPress performs 1 DB query per media attachment, so a page with 30 image links should have just a little over 30 DB queries attributed to SLB.

Please provide more details on the DB queries you are seeing on your site, and I would be glad to take a look.

    Thanks.

@archetyped It really wont and stop calling support topics “tickets” on this site.

It’s not word play, you are giving people a very wrong impression. There are no tickets on these forums and never has. There are only support topics.

@archetyped?Sorry for the late reply, but I wanted to test the plugin a bit more. I have now decided to use another script for the gallery. Nonetheless, thanks for the help so far!

Hi Marko, thanks for your reply!
The preload at WP Fastest Cache runs without problems with these settings. Since the site is still under construction, I don’t want to publish the URL for the time being. I’ll get back to you later.
