I was having issues with WooCommerce (version 7.8.0) and Elementor Pro (version 3.13.2). WP Version 6.1.1. When I tried to edit the WooCommerce Shop page with Elementor Pro, the editor would not let me and asked if I wanted to enter safe mode.

So, I deactivated the WooCommerce plugin, deleted it, and deleted the Shop, Cart, Checkout, My Account pages. I even downloaded the File Manager plugin and removed the WooCommerce folder from there. (wp-content>plugins>woocommerce. I successfully removed the WooCommerce plugin but now when I re-install the plugin, I’m getting these two errors every time.

First error pops up right below the “Add Plugins” page and above the list of plugins searched. Error message says — “Installation failed: <DOCTYPE html> Error body {width: 35em; margin: 0 auto; font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;} An error occurred. Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again later. If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details. We have articles on troubleshooting issues like high CPU usage and large memory usage on our official blog site. Faithfully yours, OpenResty.”

Second error message says — Destination folder already exists.

The strange thing is that after these error messages, I check the plugins section and it shows WooCommerce installed and waiting to be activated.

I don’t wan’t to activate the plugin again if it had issues installing and I also don’t want to build anything out in the plugin to find out something won’t work.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!

    Hi @engc7421 ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues installing WooCommerce on your site, this sounds frustrating.

As a first step, can you please check that all the?WooCommerce Server Recommendations?and?WordPress requirements?are met.

Also, please clarify if you had a fully-functioning eCommerce store running on your site using WooCommerce or if you are only starting with your site now?

If the latter, you can fully remove all WooCommerce data from your WordPress site by following the below guide:

Please note that the above process is permanent and will remove all WooCommerce data from your WordPress site database.

Additionally, I’d suggest installing the Query Monitor?plugin on your site. It might share details?on what may be causing these errors, as well as checking for any sever-level errors.

Please share your findings with us here so that we can take a closer look.

    Cheers!

    Hi @beautyofcode ,

I contacted our hosting provider to make sure that all of the WooCommerce Server recommendations and WordPress requirements are met. They confirmed that our site does meet these settings correctly.

Our hosting provider has escalated a support ticket to their backend team and I will hear back within 1-2 business days if this gets resolved or the next steps needed.

I will install the query plugin and permanently uninstall WooCommerce if our hosting provider is unable to resolve this issue.

To clarify, we did not have a fully functioning eCommerce store running during this time. I was in the middle of building it out for the first time.

I will let you know what I hear back from our hosting provider once they get back to me.

    Thank you for your help!
