    Hello-

On my published website, I keep getting “Something went wrong” when submitting emails for my monthly newsletter. The Metform works fine for the “Ask a Question” page, but not the Monthly newsletter signup in the footer. Oddly, it works fine in the Elementor page edit. The issue only shows up on the published webpage. I’ve tried turning off all notifications to eliminate SMTP issues, and I’ve tried clearing all the caches.

    Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi?@tanwir1t ,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

The problem of the “Something Went Wrong” response on form Submission usually occurs if some important configuration were not done or missed. The most possible reason for this problem and also a solution for this problem is given below-

    • While configuring the Metform form, please make sure that at least one functionality like Store Entries or Admin Notification; that will allow you to store submissions is Enabled on the Form configuration section. Moreover, you need to make sure that the Submissions are getting stored. Please check this screenshot for a better understanding.
    • If the Admin Notification is enabled, then please make sure that a valid email address is included to receive the user data on that Email. You need to add at least one email on the Email To field(https://prnt.sc/ncWeFwJtlTUM).
    • SMTP is not enabled or configured. To receive admin email notifications and to send email confirmations to users make sure that the SMTP server on your web hosting is enabled and configured appropriately. If you don’t have any idea about it please contact your hosting provider or check the SMTP status by using this plugin. If the SMTP is configured properly, then Please leave the Email From field blank. Entering inappropriate Emails in this field can lead to a ‘Something Went Wrong’ error also.
    • Sometimes due to caching plugins, you may also experience the ‘Something Went Wrong’ issue. In that case, please clear caches from your site and check if the problem still persists.
    • Try resetting the permalink by selecting one random structure and saving it, after that, select the previous link and save it again. You can follow this?video.

I hope the issue will be solved after following the above configuration. If the problems persist after configuring the plugin properly, please let us know. We will take a closer look and help you to find a solution as soon as possible.

    Best Regards,
    Arif
