    Hello,

I am currently facing a critical issue with the WPvivid Plugin. While using the “Create A Fresh WP Install” function, the process stopped at 75%, and now my live website’s backend is inaccessible. Instead, I am greeted with the following error message:

    Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

As a result, I cannot access the backend using the custom URL I previously used. Even when attempting to access the backend through the original /wp-admin.php URL, it redirects to the backend of the fresh WP installation. Moreover, the frontend of the live website is displaying the fresh WP installation instead of the actual content.

This issue is causing a severe disruption to my website’s functionality and requires immediate attention. Could you please provide guidance on how to fix or reverse this situation?

Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,

    Arnupab

After clearing the cache, I can access the homepage of my original live website, but none of the other links, such as /wp-login.php, /my-account, and the custom backend URL, are functioning correctly. However, I can access the fresh WP installation, both the front-end and backend, without any issues.

    To summarize the situation:

    1. Homepage access: I can successfully access the homepage of my original live website.
    2. Non-functioning links: All other links, including /wp-login.php, /my-account, and the custom backend URL, are not functioning as expected.
    3. Fresh WP installation: The fresh WP installation, created by the WPvivid Plugin, is accessible and working properly both on the front-end and backend.

I have cleared the cache, but the issue persists. I suspect there may be a problem with the permalink settings or URL rewriting.

I kindly request your assistance and guidance to resolve this matter as it significantly affects the functionality of my live website. Your prompt attention to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,

    Arnupab

    Hello @arnupab ,

We would like to inquire about the actions taken except cache clear after the staging process halted at 75%.

Additionally, in order to bring the live site back online as soon as possible, kindly restore a hosting backup if you have one.

If you have a WPvivid backup, please install a fresh instance of WordPress and proceed with the restoration of the WPvivid backup.

Before initiating the restoration of your site’s backup files, we kindly request that you access your web server and provide us with the staging log. This will enable us to investigate the issue.

    Thank you and best regards.

    Hello @nicholas2019

I wanted to inform you about an issue I encountered with my live website. While I could access the homepage without any problems, none of the other links such as /wp-login.php, /my-account, and the custom backend URL were functioning correctly.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that the problem was caused by a conflict with a security plugin. I deactivated the plugin and was able to access the backend of my live site. Additionally, I resolved the issue by resetting the WordPress permalink structure. I accomplished this by navigating to the permalink settings in WordPress and clicking on the “Save Settings” button. After performing these steps, everything is now functioning correctly.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Sincerely,
    Arnupab

    Hi @arnupab

No problem. Glad that the issue is resolved.

Yes. That’s also why we always recommend temporarily deactivating all security plugins during a migration to avoid any possible issues.

    All the best,
