• Jetpack Vault Press charges based on the amount of storage space used. However, they do not offer the basic functionality necessary to manage backups. For example, you can opt to update the database daily and files weekly. You also cant creat a limit on the number of backups held, or provide for older backups to be deleted every so often. As a result, storage space does nothing but climb and Jetpacks bills right there with it. We’ve moved to Updraft and Sucuri for backup. Even combined together the cost is far less than Jetpack Vault Press.

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing this feedback with us, as it will help us improve Jetpack VaultPress Backup. I just want to point out, in regards to this:

You also cant creat a limit on the number of backups held, or provide for older backups to be deleted every so often.?

We actually do offer this functionality. You can select a backup retention period of 7 days, 30 days, 120 days, or one year. Any backups older than your chosen retention period will be automatically deleted on a rolling basis.

    Thanks!
