Plugin Doesn’t work. Custom meta vanishes when going live and post content

Firstly, when i try to map a custom field, it shows, but the second i make the form to post live and not draft, it vanishes and doesn’t register.

well the fact that the draft post is created means it works. What happens after that, once you publish your post is unrelated to this plugin and some other plugin or your theme is messing up the post and its data.

Try the process with a different theme on a test server to see if you’re still facing this issue.

Secondly, when submitting a post from contact form, it doesn’t even post anything to the main content of the post

well, unless you map one of your form fields to the post content field, then nothing will be saved in it.

I tested it on a theme separate form my current wordpress, with hello theme and no plugins. And still the same issue.

What’s happening is when i click ‘live’ the mapped fields vanish. and when i go back to draft mode it is still gone

I’m facing the same issue . When I try to Map form fields to post meta-fields when I click save all the field names change to “custom_meta_key”. This happens in draft and live mode.

You can always post screenshots/screen captures to better explain the issue and this way ensure others can find these conversations :0

Please inspect your javascript console and see if you are getting any js errors. Can you also enable WP_DEBUG mode and see if you are getting any errors on the server side?

I will also run some tests on my server to see if any recent changes in the CF7 plugin might be at cause.

I am assuming the issue is solved and am marking it as such.
