    WordPress 6.2.2
    Yoast SEO 20.11

On this specific page (I don’t know if there are others) the og:image tag is not present, despite there is an image in the social/facebook configuration of the page.

I’ve tried with other images and the problem persists.
I’ve tried to disable the cache plugin, but the probles persists.
It seems that there are not different configurations compared to other pages.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello @fgiorgio

Thanks for reaching out about your og:image. You mentioned that you uploaded a Facebook image in the social tab for the post, but I can confirm the og:image tag is missing. Instead, the logo was being used when I ran the URL through the Facebook sharing debugger.

Please share a screenshot of the Facebook image field in the social tab. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot. It’s strange that you have an image uploaded but the og:image tag is missing completely.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

I’ve used the “Health Check & Troubleshooting” plugin (following the guide you mentioned) with only Yoast SEO enabled and the og:image tag is missing.

    Thanks for the feedback, Francesco.

With only Yoast SEO and a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty-Two, do you get the og:image tag?

    Thread Starter f.giorgio

    (@fgiorgio)

With only Yoast SEO enabled as plugin and Twenty Twenty-Three theme enabled the og:image tag is still missing.

I’m sorry as I’m out of ideas. Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we cannot do it here as this is a public forum. So, if you can consider buying a Yoast SEO Premium subscription, we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately through email.

Thank you @maybellyne for your help. If is not a conflict with other plugins or themes, probably is a bug of Yoast SEO itself or something like data corruption. I will continue doing tests to find the cause. A the moment I don’t want to pay for the premium plugin/support.
