  • How to increase number of posts in query loop with inherit settings from template is on? When it is not on, it is easy to change the post number from the display setting but when the inherit settings from template is on, the display settings is removed .

    Change the pages show at most setting under Reading Settings. This will affect all archive queries on your site though. To override this default only for the query loop, you could alter the “posts_per_page” arg through the “pre_get_posts” action. The challenge here is distinguishing the query loop query from all others. Often there is some unique set of query vars that would distinguish the query.

    IMO it’s easier to not inherit settings and manually replicate the template settings in the block’s settings.
