Add Amazon html code to blog

I see somoene else posted on this a while ago and issue was not resolved. I’m trying to add an image plus separate Amazon code into my blog post and it’s not taking. I used the html file but all I get is the image and a box with a red x beside it. I’m not tech savvy so please be specific.
