    Folks,

I’m trying to launch an NGO website on 9/27/2010. Final step is to change the appearance of the menu bar.

In attempt to do that, I tried visiting Appearance->Menus and the page is blank, which is weird. The address bar shows ‘https://my website/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

Please help me fix this and get this initiative moving.

    Thanks,
    -Dinesh

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

    Thanks esmi.

Deactivating the formbuilder plugin fixed the issue. I appreciate your help.

Hello, just found this post. I have same prob. My menu page in my admin appearance is blank except a dot in upper left corner. I have completed ALL of the steps mentioned above, still blank. Tis seems to have happened sometime after installing a plug in Events Calendar Pro – WordPress Premium Plugin.

    Any other ideas to help??

I’ve been having the same problem recently, and I’m trying to track down what’s going on I decided to install WP locally and try accessing Appearance > Menus between each step (read: adding my theme, installing plugins, etc.).
On a fresh local install, the Appearance > Menu page works fine. Before adding any new themes or plugins, I imported content from my live WP site (pages, posts, etc.) and immediately the problems started cropping up. When I click on Appearance > Menu, I get a dialog box asking if I want to save nav-menus.php to my hard drive. I assume this is linked to the blank page I’m getting on the live site.

    What gives, I wonder?

OK, I just read a post here that warns against having items in the menu which you have recently deleted. I, for instance, removed a couple pages from WordPress and then tried deleting them from the menu, where apparently I should have deleting them from the menu first.

I’ll try resolving it this way and see if I get any results.

    Please post a new topic.
