Force alt text in beaver builder

The image uploaded used by Beaver Builder is actually the built in WordPress media modal, exactly the same as you use in wp-admin. It might be extendable but there is not much useful documentation.

While it’s not literally impossible to require alt text on upload, it’ll require a significant departure from the normal WP upload process. Normally the process of uploading is completely independent of assigning meta data to an image. Images are already uploaded and in place when meta data is created. Default meta data is assigned server side, there’s no opportunity for user interaction. Alt text is added after the fact during an optional edit session. You’d need to create an alternative upload process in order to forcibly collect alt text on every upload.
