Renaming existing files, special characters

    Hello, will this plugin change the names of the files in the database?

    For example, the image currently is: “caion-coru?a-galicia.jpeg”
    can I change it to “caion-coruna-galicia.jpeg”?

    Hi @heatherbodlak,
    I confirm that Phoenix Media Rename changes names in the database, updating all contents (pages, posts, custom posts) that uses the renamed files.

    There can be some compatibility issue with some other plugin, to take a safe test you can:
    – publish a new image
    – create a new page
    – add the image to the page
    – rename the image
    – verify that the page uses the new filename
