“It looks like you’ve already submitted that” after form submission

The error usually appears when submitting entries with identical values.

You can use the auto-increment shortcode to assign a unique number to a hidden field in each form entry, and this will make each form submission unique, bypassing this issue. However, this is a PRO feature, and it will require the Pro plugin to be enabled and active.

Yes, the [auto_id] shortcode is only available in the Pro version. You could also avoid the error by making sure the entries are not identical when submitted.

We have now purchased and activated the Pro version.

I looked at the documentation page noted, but I’m not entirely clear where the [auto_id] shortcode should go.

On the Build page for a form, does this go into the field options for any specific field or all fields? And for that field, does it go into the “Default Value” field setting under Advanced?
