How can I give a proper layout to theme Neve FSE?

The customizations desired for Neve FSE should be done in the editor, by configuring each block/template as you please, including the header and footer, or by using custom CSS.

If I have come here to write, it is because what you say is not true. There are blocks where I can’t set the width. I also asked for good width for legibility and room for ads and floating buttons.

I tried “Inner blocks use content width” and I like it, but for example, the footer, header and content can’t be resized properly. The header restricts the texts to the width, but not the background.

What’s the suggested width anyway? 800px?

I created the custom categories and several layouts cannot be changed due to their width.

For example, the popular post block in the action category cannot be 800px wide, as the option is missing. for the homepage instead yes. The term description also has the same error.

Why can’t I have a unique rule to have all elements no wider than 800px? is another width better for advertising on the sides?

Defining the width of sections within the page can be done more effectively with a dedicated block such as Section from the Otter plugin.

This block provides a width option to wrap the content while keeping the background wide aligned. It can be used in the page content and header/footer areas as well.

I don’t see how it could be useful since the block editor is the size of layouts. But not all, unfortunately. I was wondering if you could fix the bug or how to adjust the elements with CSS.
