I updated Restrict Content on 7/31/2023 to v3.2.4. My home page (and several others) started displaying “Content restricted to subscribers” message, even though I had not set those pages to be restricted. I disabled the plugin, and the pages were accessible again.

On 8/8/2023, I updated Restrict Content to v3.2.5, and re-enabled the plugin. The restricted message appeared again/still on my home page and the others. I noticed the home page was configured to restrict to certain users, changed it to allow access for all users, but still received the restriction notice when not logged in to my site. Disabled the plugin, but the pages are still restricted. Deleted the plugin, and the pages are still restricted.

Any thoughts on how to remove these restrictions?

    Thank you

I had cleared my cache before posting this request for support. My system must still have retained a cached version of the pages, because today my webpages are all working correctly. Marking this as resolved.

    Hi  @chrisphast

There have not been any reports regarding this issue. I also tested the latest version of RC to replicate this, but I’m unable to do so. The plugin works as expected – (setting the restriction and disabling the restriction work fine). With that, please try troubleshooting by checking for a conflict. See:?https://help.ithemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003073433-Checking-for-a-Conflict

Before uninstalling the plugin, we suggest enabling the option “Remove Data on Uninstall.” You can navigate this on Restrict -> Settings -> Misc. If enabled, all Restrict Content Pro data will be permanently deleted when the plugin is uninstalled. All post/page restrictions, term restrictions, RCP settings, and custom database tables will be deleted.

Please let us know how it goes.
