Hi, I use AIOSEO and I cannot remove “noindex” from the robots meta tag of a specific page of my website. All other pages are indexed, but this one is not. It’s a normal page like the others. I already enabled all content types except archives and search pages to be indexed in the search appearance section. The URL of this page is https://eslkings.com/best-esl-writing-samples-for-free/

Please help. Thank you in advance.

    Hi @yyyyy999,

Could you please check the noindex settings for the page itself by following these steps:

    1. Edit the page
    2. Scroll down to AIOSEO Settings
    3. Click on the Advanced tab
    4. Check the Default Robots Setting to see if noindex is set.

Please let me know what you find.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I checked the page, and the “Robots Setting” is set to “Default Settings”.

    Thanks for the follow-up @yyyyy999.

Could you tell me if your Global Robots Meta in Search Appearance > Advanced is set to use the default settings as well?

Is this post a specific content type set to noindex in Search Appearance > Content Types?

    Thanks!

Thank you for your response. The Global Robots Meta is set to use default settings. And the “Show in Search Results” option for all content types is set to Yes.

    Hi @yyyyy999,

Here are a couple things to try –

Could you please check in Search Appearance > Taxonomies and Archives settings and set them to Show in Search Results if they are not set?

    Then recheck the page.

If noindex is still set, please toggle off the Global Robots Meta in Search Appearance > Advanced and uncheck the No Index Paginated and then click on Save Changes.

Then recheck the page. Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

Setting the Archives to appear in search results didn’t work but the second solution worked. Thank you very much! I just have a further question. When I return the settings to default, the noindex returns. So, does this mean I will keep these settings forever as they are now? And will this affect anything else in my SEO? Thank you.

    Hi @yyyyy999,

That’s great you were able to remove noindex on that page.

You will need to leave that setting to remove noindex if you would like that page indexed by search engines. This will not affect anything else in your SEO.

    Thanks!

Could you please share the page URL where you’re seeing this error?
