Hi @wpdesignuser,
I just conducted multiple tests with the latest version, and it seems to be working fine in our environment.Could you please provide us with the URL for registration and login, where we can replicate the issue? Please let us know, and we will get back to you accordingly.
Regards!Hi @sanjuacharya77, thank you for your answer. I don’t have the latest version installed, which is what gives me the error, but:
With te previos version, the lost password link in the login is like:
site.com/wordpress/my-account/lost-password/ (works ok)
With the new version (3.03), the los password link in the login is like:
site.com/wordpress/lost-password/ (dont work)
I hope this data helps
Thank you!
Hi @wpdesignuser,
Could you please make sure to choose the User Registration’s My Account page on the Account page settings, for more help: https://prnt.sc/e-kaX0VJ_rWi with the latest version.
In your second URL, the “my account” part is missing (site.com/wordpress/lost-password/). Please choose the “My Account” page, and it will function correctly.
Regards!Hi @sanjuacharya77, thank you for your answer
In ?the User Registration’s My Account page on the Account page setting, the My Account page is selected (the one with the Shortcode [user_registration_my_account])
In fact, the only thing that changes to make it work or not is the version of the plugin (with 3.0.2.1 it works perfectly, with 3.0.3 it doesn’t, same configuration).
Any other suggestions?
Thank you!
Hi @wpdesignuser,
As you mentioned:In the previous version, the lost password link in the login was: site.com/wordpress/my-account/lost-password/ (it worked fine).
In the new version (3.0.3), the lost password link in the login is: site.com/wordpress/lost-password/ (but it doesn’t work).
In your case, in a new version, “my-account” is missing from the link, indicating that the system couldn’t find the “my account” page in the account settings. So, please check whether the My Account page is selected or not when you switch to the new version.
Only the issue is on your site. If you provide us with the URL of the registration and login form, we will perform a test registration to identify the issue. At the same time, we haven’t encountered this issue in our environment, and no users have reported it either. You can perform a test on the Tastewp site as well for verification. Also, it might be a conflict with any other plugin present on your site with the new version. So please do a plugin conflict as well.
Regards!Hi @wpdesignuser,
Once could you please download and install the plugin from this link: User Registration and see if it works for you or not? We created a zip file based on a few assumptions, but since the issue is not replicating on our end.
Regards!Hi @sanjuacharya77, thank you for your help.
With that version of the plugin, the Lost password link works OK, but when I enter the site it does not redirect to the correct page.
In other words, this shortcode does not work:
[user_registration_my_account redirect_url=sample-page]
Thank you!
Hi @wpdesignuser,
Could you please insert the full URL? For more help: [user_registration_my_account redirect_url=”https://localhost/user/sample-page/”%5D and it will work.
Note: Please replace the URL with your site’s URL
Do let us know whether it works for you or not and I will get back to you.
Regards!Hi, @sanjuacharya77
Thank you for your answer. I have the entire URL set, but the behavior is the same.
Regards!
Hi @wpdesignuser,
I did multiple tests and it seems to be working fine. Here is Screen recording.
It might be a conflict between the plugins. Could you please refer to this documentation and follow the instruction kindly?
Regards!I’m having the same issue. I get a critical error on password reset. I’m on the latest version and my settings are set to My Account as you’ve mentioned here.
A member notified me they couldn’t reset their password, but got a critical error. I was able to replicate it myself by filling out the reset password form on a test account. I never received the rest email so tried again. That’s when I got the error.

ninjarobotstudiollc. Reason: adding more detail
Hi @sanjuacharya77,
It doesn’t seem to be a conflict with themes or plugins, since when I rolled back to the previous version it worked OK.
I can’t see in the recording if the test is being done on a wordpress installed in a subdirectory (site.com/wordpress/wp-login.php), which is where the error occurs. I have installed on other sites without subdirectory, and it works OK
Thank you!
Hi @ninjarobotstudiollc,
Could you please download and install the plugin from this link and check if it works for you or not?If a critical error still occurs on your site, could you please log in to your cPanel, navigate to the Wp-config.php file, and add this code:
define('WP_DEBUG', true); define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
Afterward, try to reset your password, and you will find the details about the error in the wp-content >> debug.log file. Please forward us the error details, and we will check them and get back to you with further assistance. Also, could you please provide us with the URL of the Registration and Login form?
Regards!Hi @wpdesignuser,
We verified in the subdirectory environment as well, and the redirection is working fine. Here is a Screen-recording.Since your issue requires the developer’s attention, could you please contact the dev team from here? You will find the form at the bottom of the page. They will provide you with further assistance. Additionally, mention this ticket link.
Regards! Thanks @sanjuacharya77, is this version of the plugin that you gave me above being used in the recording?
With that version, the Lost Password link (the original problem) is solved, but the shortcode redirect stops working.
Thank you
