• Hello MailPoet Community,

I’ve encountered a couple of issues in my newsletter when switching to mobile view, and I’m hoping someone can help me troubleshoot.

    1. Whitespace Issue on Mobile:
      • Desktop View: I’m using whitespace to adjust the size of the column with the background image to a specific dimension.
Mobile View: The whitespace seems to be pushed to the top in the mobile view.
Desired Outcome: I’d like to have a consistent spacing in mobile view, just like in the desktop view.
    2. White Text Over Background Image:
      • Desktop View: I have a column that has a background image and white text over it. Everything looks as expected on the desktop view.
      • Mobile View: When I switch to mobile view, the text appears below the column with the background image. The text remains white, making it nearly unreadable against my site’s light background.
      • Desired Outcome: I’d like the text to either stay on the background image in mobile view or to change color when it’s outside the image for better visibility.

Has anyone experienced similar issues or have suggestions on how to resolve these? Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

    Hi @jorismathijssen,

Can you please let us know if it happens only when checking the email on mobile on a specific email client? Unfortunately, it’s known that few email clients have limited support for CSS background images?and for some of the properties for controlling how the background image appears, not displaying the background image at all or affecting other styles associated with it.

No, the situation is already visible in the provided preview tool. It seems that the background image is set to the ‘fit’ option. Currently, the blocks on the background are stacked vertically. However, I would prefer them to be arranged horizontally for that column section.

Is it not possible to have different styles for mobile and desktop views?
