Using the same pics in different galleries?

I’ve added 8 pics as a gallery to a post.
Now i want to show 4 of them on the home page as well, again as a gallery.

They are in the media library with all the descriptions and captions, i just want to select 4 of them make a gallery and insert.

But it deosnt seem to have such options. As i see it, i can either insert the same gallery again (all the 8 pics) or just insert individual pics.

All i want is to choose 4 pics from the media library (cause all the text is already written) and form a fresh gallery with them and insert it.

If they go to the same attachment pages as the 8 pics gallery even better. Is there a way to do that?
