I use the loco translate for several plugins and I never had any trouble with it. But SeatReg can’t be translated. I’m able to translate all strings in German (normal German -de_DE), my WordPress site has German as the default language (also -de_DE) but in the frontend I can’t see any results. Do you have any idea why this does not work? All Cache plugins (and others) are deactivated, no effect on this. I also see the seatreg-de_DE.mo file with all translations in it, but it’s not seen in the frontend. Any idea? Thanks a lot!

    Hello
Did some testing and got it working by setting the translation location to languages/plugins/seatreg-et.po (there is relocate tab where you can change it).
After that I can see translations. Can you try and check if it helps for you?

Hi, thanks so much for your very quick answer! It worked! Sorry, I tried this before, but it seems I didn’t do it correctly… Just a last question: Updating the plugin will remove the translations, correct? So I must keep a copy of the .po/.mo files and replace them again after updating the plugin –? in the same path (languages/plugins/), correct?

Updating SeatReg should not remove those files as far as I know. But better be safe and keep the copy of the translations.
The best solution would be to rely translations taken from https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/seatreg/
Sadly we need someone who has access to approve German translations.
