I CAN'T FIND MY 1ST POST!

Hi,
I’m just learning all of this. I would like to create a new page where I can post a “party tip” each week.
I created a new page- named it “Weekly Party Tips”.
The page name appears at the top with the other pages I created (home, about me, contact me, what’s inside the book).
I went back to my Dashboard, clicked on Posts, then Add New, and typed my first weekly tip and clicked on Update. I have no idea where it went! It’s not on any of the pages.
I guess I need to know to to designate a new post to appear on a certain page.
