Database re-install problem

    Hi All

    I setup a website for my mother, and some turkish hackers(crackers) were kind enough to destroy it for her. So i am trying to reinstall the backup db.

    So, i followed the tutorial that was posted on the board in regards to re-installing a db, but somehow its not quite working.

    The problem i am having, is when i have installed my new db (after deleting all the old db files, though it says delete cache in wp-content/cache, but ithere is no cache file/folder there?? is this related to the problem?) I return to my site, which tells me i need to install wp….

    wp is already installed.

    Any ideas/suggestions?

    Make sure that your wp-config.php file is pointing to the right database and using the right table prefix.

    James, if i could, id buy you a beer. Thanks a lot mate its much appreciated.

    For everyone else, My table prefix was wrong, changing this fixed the problem.
