Twitter shows ‘Rate Limited’ –

    Hi, I am using your plugin for displaying Twitter feed and now it shows “Rate Limited Exceeded.” I have gone through your article saying that the free Twitter feed will be shut down (https://www.slickremix.com/sunsetting-our-free-twitter-feed/).

    So, My question was, if I switch to a purchased plan, will it show the Twitter feed plugin or need to pay any additional amount for that?

    Hi @noobieboy,

    X (formerly known as Twitter) has made many changes recently to everything. However, what affects us are the changes made to the API. Twitter/X has removed the free access portal from its API, and now has put in place a monthly fee. We have tried to pay this fee, but with all of our user traffic, we hit the rate limit fairly quickly. Which negatively impacts all of our users.

    We are now looking into giving our users the ability to pay the monthly fee themselves. It appears to be the only option left. Still, we do not wish this for our users.
    ? So, we are currently still looking into ways to circumvent this fee and provide working Twitter/X feeds for our users.

    We apologize for this pause and hope to find a suitable resolution for everyone soon.
