Form [mc4wp=XXX] goes over HTTP and not by HTTPS

The website is fleiriandmanner.com. Temporary, we did a workaround through JS to “solve” this issue. However, Google Lighthouse’s still showing the insecure URL like the image shows.

From the screenshot it looks as if the shortcode to the form is added in an incorrect way. It should not be loaded as a URL (neither http or https).
And what JS workaround did you apply?

Where on the site can I see the MC4WP form? The form in the footer seems to not use our plugin.

The form is given by the plugin. I send you the plugin config in our website.

1. As you can see, the form number is [mc4wp_form id=4551]. It is set in our theme as a shortcut -> https://prnt.sc/n1fZLCNCKBN_
2. Our theme (Apparel) put this form in the footer -> https://prnt.sc/ppf9zox0vE8I

About our JS, it just replace the string “http” to “https” after the form was rendered by the browser. In some web site validator like Why No Padlock?, our website passes the test. However, with Google Lightroom it can’t be passed.

Your theme expects a link to a hosted Mailchimp form there, not a MC4WP shortcode. I recommend you add the form in a different way, eg via a footer widget.

Just to show the solution. It was just to add “HTTPS” at the beginning of the short code. We don’t if there is a bug for this plugin or if it’s the theme one.

Again, you can’t put our shortcode in a URL field. Your theme is not designed to work this way. The theme setting that you are using to put the shortcode in is not for displaying a form or shortcode, it is for adding a link that opens a page with a form on it. This is not an issue with our plugin, it’s just that you are misusing this feature in your theme. You can contact your theme provider for more information. Your solution is NOT recommended and will still result in broken html on your site.
