WordPress address(URL) – Should I Use WWW or NOT For Backlinking & Site Configur

    Hi

    I have discovered I have created a problem within Word Press for the General settings:
    WordPress address (URL) – https://DomainName.co (No WWW)
    Site address (URL) – https://www.DomainName.co

    Which is the best way to define the address?

    The reason I ask is this.

    When I create back-links to the site using article marketing I have created resource boxes.

    Then I used Market Samurai & Google to review the back-links over time.

    Logically I am getting back-links for https://www.DomainName.co/ as defined in the resource box. And not for https://DomainName.co/

    So which is the SEO preferred configuration for a WP blog and therefore which syntax is the best way to go?

    With the WWW or not?

    And is there a way to present both WWW and “without WWW” for the search engine results?

    Pick one or the other for WordPress address and Site address, not both. WordPress will permanently (301) redirect all traffic from the other to your chosen setting.

    So, if you enter https://DomainName.co for both, WordPress will permanently redirect all traffic from https://www.DomainName.co to https://DomainName.co

    Is there a reason you might prefer www or alternative?

    Honestly, I think it’s just personal preference. Many people think that www. is just a waste of characters. On the other hand, I have several sub-domains on my domain, so I prefer to keep the www. to add to the distinction.

    I think going with www is better.I write a blog and I use www
    so three cheers to WWW
