    Hello IFolders-

This week, IFolders does not appear to be categorizing newly created posts. It had been working correctly for weeks since purchasing a license, but now all new posts appear in the “Uncategorized” folder regardless of the category assigned.

    Previous steps:
    1) I created IFolders for each of 5 top-level categories on my site. One of which is called “Governance”, and prior to this week, I could create new “governance” articles and they’d correctly appear beneath the IFolder folder I created for the category.
    2) Posts have only one category, although that may change in the future.

Steps to reproduce and problem description
    1. Create new post and categorize as a “Governance” article
    2. From the Dashboard, click on the Posts
    3. I expect to see the new article appear beneath the IFolder labeled “Governance” but it appears beneath the “Uncategorized” IFolder.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In fact, all new posts appear under “Uncategorized” category and this is not a bug. It’s strange that they used to be attached to a specific folder after their creation. Really it’s a reason to think on the subject of adding this feature. The only question is how best to format it. I open for any suggestions.

Appreciate your quick reply. My apologies. You are correct in that this is not a defect. I had completely forgotten that I need to manually drag the post into the desired folder after it’s created, which is not a big deal.

In terms of a feature enhancement, it might be nice to have a configuration setting that enabled IFolders to automatically display posts within a folder associated with a category, but I don’t know if that would be a headache to implement. It might be tricky if a post is associated with multiple WordPress categories. I’m thinking that it’d be a optional config setting because there may be users who prefer to organize posts in some other way other than the post category.

    Best,
    Patrick
