Email address change notifications

  • Good morning,
    on my www.ads-software.com site, I have a problem because the email addresses of our 3000 users have been changed via our CAS.

    Each time a user logs in, they receive the following email:
    “Hello username,

    This message confirms that your email address has been changed on the xxxx site.

    If you have not performed this action, please promptly contact the site administrator at this address:
    [email protected]

    This message was sent to xxxxx

    Sincerely,
    The xxxxx IT team”

    We are trying without success to deactivate this notification email, because most of the time, the user follows the instructions and contacts us.

    I think this is not possible and I explored another avenue: where is the signature line “XXXXX’s IT team” configured? I could indicate in it not to follow the instructions.

  • The text is not from WordPress. I suspect it is the text from a plugin you use, but I can’t quite place it. I’ve never seen anything like it. My recommendation would be that you check your plugins to see which ones could be responsible for this.

    We use WP Cassify : https://fr.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-cassify/

    But I can’t find any option concerning this mail sending. And I can’t fin anywhere the signature (Sincerely, The xxxxx IT team”).

    The other extensions used do not appear to be related to this email sending problem.

    I don’t know the plugin, but a look at it and its source code didn’t show me this email either. I would recommend that you contact their support forum if you continue to suspect it as the cause: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wp-cassify/

    If they don’t send the email either, you should have a technician look at it directly. If you don’t have anyone available, ask your hoster’s support first. Otherwise, you may also find someone here: https://jobs.wordpress.net
