    Noob here.

    Scenario

I want to have a template site that I duplicate and rebrand for different customers.

I am learning about migrating sites at the moment and I think as part of this process I have hit the road block called woopayments/stripe.

So when I migrated the site for my first potential client (Site A) I think I was meant to NOT keep the same connections as my inital test/template site.

Now I have two sites connected to the same stripe account.

    Question

How can I set up woopayments on my clients site (Site A) so they make sense.

I think I use the same wordpress profile but I make to state it’s my clients domain name (Site A) and then keep my email address as I am manager.

    Correct?

I hope it’s just a case of deleting the plugin and restarting but at this rate I don’t want to mess anything up further.

  • Hi there @mmk175, and welcome ??

I understand you are interested in having a blueprint/template site, and duplicate it as needed, and are inquiring about how to best have WooPayments set up for this scenario.

My recommendation is to have it installed, but not activated, on the template site.

Then, when ready to spin-up a new site from it, go ahead with making sure WooPayments is updated, and go ahead with implementing the mode that fits best, from the ones mentioned here.

When the new site is ready to be launched, switch to WooPayments live mode.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

This is actually what I needed to hear. I realised my two sites went into safe mode and I was able to reset the test site and use the live site/clients site to include his details. I do have a follow up question though.

I have gone through part of the set up process for my clients account, I have stopped at the details section i.e. name, address, phone number etc.

Before this stage, it asks me to use a wordpress account or create a new one.

Do you think I should create one for my client here or use my own? I thought using my own wordpress account would allow me to manage the account after it’s set up.

Any advice here would be great.
