Hi @adambs, thanks for reaching out.
The factor does seem to be the host switch if they were working previously and are still turned on. This might be because an SMTP WordPress plugin that you use and migrated over needs to be configured for the new server settings, or perhaps there is an issue elsewhere. You can test for whether emails work at all by sending tests to yourself from Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Send a test email from this WordPress server to an email address
Wordfence emails ultimately come from your site and not our servers, so ultimately check:
- The emails (they come from [email protected]) might be sent to junk mail folders by your email client or provider. Make sure and whitelist or add your website to the list of safe domains so you get emails consistently. Your old host’s origin may be trusted, but the change could have affected this even if the source domain remains the same.
- This isn’t like regular emails you send and receive, but rather server alert messages. Usually, a restart of postfix or sendmail (whichever is installed) can fix it. Your hosting provider may need to help with this.
- If you have a third party plugin for sending emails with another service, like Gmail, it could be stopping these alerts from going out. Reaching out to the plugin author for support can help.
I hope that helps point you in the right direction!
Peter.
