Fatal error on WordPress site

    Hi. I recently received the following notification from WordPress and wonder if there is a simple resolution that I can give effect to:

WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Anti-Spam by CleanTalk.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:

Current plugin: Anti-Spam by CleanTalk (version 6.4.1)

    Hello.

    Please, update the Anti-Spam by CleanTalk plugin. You have installed outdated version 6.4.1. The latest one is 6.17. Here is the guide: https://cleantalk.org/help/update-wordpress

    Hi katereji. Each time I try to update the plugin (or any other plugin for that matter) I get the message: Update failed: -1

    Are you able to offer advice on this?

    I can only advise you to delete the Anti-Spam plugin with the ‘Complete deactivation’ option enabled and install the latest version from the WordPress marketplace.

    1. Enter the Anti-Spam by Cleantalk plugin settings. (WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Anti-Spam by Cleantalk -> Advanced settings)
    2. Check the last settings “Complete deactivation” and save changes.
    3. Follow the guide, Manual Update: https://cleantalk.org/help/update-wordpress
