    Hello,

    I am using Yoast seo (free version) plugin since last two years and it giving me good result. Now I am optimising my post for Google discover. Recently, I watched a video on YouTube saying that if you are installed Yoast plugin no need to place this code: <meta name=”robots” content=”max-image-preview:large”>

    If Yoast automatically insert this code on behalf of me then why my site logo is appearing on Google discover?

    now I have manually installed the above code in head section of my site.

    Hello @animeshdutta123456

    Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

    Recently, I watched a video on YouTube saying that if you are installed Yoast plugin no need to place this code: <meta name=”robots” content=”max-image-preview:large”>

    Yes. The Yoast SEO always outputs a?meta robots?tag in the?<head>?of every page. It outputs it by default on each (public) page, with the following structure:

    <meta name="robots" content="{{values}}, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1" />

    This provides generic instructions to all robots and opts users into Google and Bing’s specific snippet/media restrictions handling.

    If Yoast automatically insert this code on behalf of me then why my site logo is appearing on Google discover?

    No, this is not related to outputting your logo on Google discover. If you meant that your logo is not appearing in Google Discover, please share your site’s URL.

    I look forward to hearing from you.

    ok. I understand that Yoast inserted max-image-preview:large code in my site. But in Google discover my site logo is showing as a thumbnail. According to Google if you have enabled max-image-preview:large settings than Google will always shows a large image.

    It will be helpful if you can provide your site’s URL so there can be some context around the issue you are experiencing.
