I am using the plugin version of 1.0.2.

Though Changelog says that “Fixed: Saving optings haven’t worked correctly”, I checked “Front page” under “Exclude from protection” and it has become unchecked.

Though I do not know when the item becomes unchecked, but this happens very often in a day and I have to re-check the item.

Sorry for my bad English, I hope you will understand what I want to say.

I will look after it and post an update if I have founded something what causes this behaviour. Thanks!

    Thank you for your reply.

I don’t know why but the plugin has so far been working correctly.
The problem might be due to incompatibility with other plugins, some of which were upgraded recently.

The problem happened when I clicked only one checkbox of Front page. Since I checked “Registration” as well, the plugin has been working good. This might be the cause of the problem, though I am not sure.

    Hi @gigalinux

I have just found the reason why this happens.

I use the Private BuddyPress with Content Warning plugin, which can be downloaded at https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/content-warning/.

When you update the option of “Cookie Expiry Time” under “Content Warning Settings”, all checked boxes at “BuddyPress Protection” in Privacy go unchecked. Thus, I need to re-check the boxes.

I have the same problem. The check-boxes get unchecked. I am not using the Content Warning plugin that chestnut_jp uses, and I can not reproduce the error. The same has happend in two sites. The only plugins that are used on both sites are:
    Akismet 2.4.0
    BuddyPress 1.2.6
    Private BuddyPress 1.0.2

I use the BuddyPress standard theme in one site and Darwin (BuddyPress BuddyPack) 1.2.1 on the other site.

    Thanks for your report, @sulfsby.

I do not remember which plugin that I updated causing the problem reproduced, but, as you reported, not only Content Warning, but also other plugins seem to influence on “Private BuddyPress”.

Thus, I repeadly check to see if the checked items go unchecked when I update or install plugin(s).

I find that anytime I make ANY changes to any WordPress Dashboard settings, the checkboxes become unchecked.

I have this problem too! I’m trying to make a habit of checking the Privacy page before I go to sleep, which is pretty annoying. Otherwise, it’s a great plugin. Please find a solution asap thanks!

    I don’t use Content Warning.

Fixed in 1.0.3. Sorry for the delay!
