billing agreement still active after cancellation

I have just completed a successful order on my site for a subscription via PayPal using this plugin. But after performing a refund for the order AND cancelling the subscription in Woocommerce, the billing agreement still shows as Active in PayPal, both in the user’s PayPal account and in my PayPal backend.
