I am currently trying to export my site (784MB). When the green button appears, I select it and I no download happens. I get the message in Chrome ” File wasn’t available on site”. I am currently running WP 5.8.3 PHP 7.3.18 in AWS Lightsail.

I have attempted disabling all pluggins, and still nothing

  • I too am seeing this error at a client hosted on site5. Tried multiple browsers and incognito windows etc….Tried export with no plugins It seems to create backup files when I do this but the backup page has no way to download the wpress files.

Update: I tried the export on another site within the account and it worked so looks to be something with a particular plugin maybe. Although the export failed even when choosing do not export plugins.

If the download isn’t triggering through the browser, you have an alternative method to retrieve your exported site. You can access the backup file directly via FTP. Navigate to the wp-content/ai1wm-backups folder on your server, where you should find the exported .wpress file. You can download it from there to your local machine. This approach bypasses the browser and should help you get the backup file you need.
