    Hi,

on one of my blogs, the option to deactivate plugins for the homepage doesn’t show up, i.e. in the “Singles” drop-down menu, “homepage” simply is not offered while in other blogs I operate, it is displayed.

Hence, in the “singles” menu, only “posts” and “pages” are offered as options while usually it should offer “homepage”, “posts” and “pages”.

I have no idea how to tackle this issue, so maybe you have a hint why or when this happens …

    Thanks and kind regards
    Franz

    Hi @fneumeier,,

this happens when the homepage is not a normal page, but an archive.
What are your settings in Settings => Reading => Your homepage displays => Homepage?
If you have “Your latest posts”, you will find the homepage in the Archives settings.

    I hope it helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hi Jose,

that was my first thought, too. But I can’t find how to change settings for the homepage in the archives menu as well. There it only shows
    – post type archives
    – categories / any categories
    – tags / any tags
    – formats / any formats

Or does “post type achives” -> “posts archive” cover the homepage as well?

    Thanks and kind regards
    Franz

P.S.: I absolutely love the concept of this plugin!

    Hi @fneumeier

if you are in Settings => Reading => Your homepage displays => Homepage you have “Your latest posts”, then the settings for your homepage will be in Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Archives => Post Types Archives because the post types archive is your homepage.

This will be more clear in a future version of FDP. Maybe we will add a house icon next to Post Types Archives.

You may also have another issue that will also be fixed in the future version. If you change the settings in Settings => Reading => Your homepage displays => Homepage, you need to flush the internal cache of FDP that stores the FDP main navigation. You can do it by clicking on the little triangle on the top to expand the FDP admin top bar and be able to click on “Refresh FDP Navigation”. The update of the FDP navigation will be automatic in the next version if you change the mentioned settings.

Let me know if you still need help.

    Have a great day!
