JavaScript File Merging Conflict Post Recent Update
-
I’ve encountered an issue since the recent update on the RegistrationMagic plugin which I believe needs attention. The problem manifests when the JavaScript file merging feature is enabled via the WP-Optimize plugin, which is crucial for improving page load speed, especially on mobile devices.
Since the update, enabling JavaScript file merging disrupts the functionality of certain site components including the mobile menu and pages with tabs. These issues did not exist prior to the latest plugin updates. The temporary solution has been to disable JavaScript file merging entirely, which isn’t a viable long-term solution due to the adverse effect on site speed.
I have been in touch with the support, but it appears there might be a communication barrier in fully understanding the scope and nature of the issue. I am hence reaching out here in hopes of bringing this to the developers’ attention.
My temporary workaround idea is to exclude the specific JavaScript files associated with RegistrationMagic from the merging process done by WP-Optimize. However, to implement this, I need a comprehensive list of JavaScript files (along with their paths) used by this plugin, which I have not been able to obtain through the support channel.
Please provide a list of JavaScript files (with paths) used by RegistrationMagic so that I may manually exclude them from the merging process in WP-Optimize.
I would also ask, if possible, a review of the recent updates to see if there might be coding adjustments that can be made to avoid such conflicts in the future.
I truly appreciate the work done on your plugins and am hoping that bringing this to light here can contribute towards resolving this issue, not just for me, but for others who might be facing similar challenges.
