We had this set up for over a year with an Outlook365 account. It stopped working because we apparently had to renew our Access Token or something like that. So I worked directly on the phone with our Microsoft Outlook specialist, and when I clicked the button in your plugin to authenticate and get the access token, he saw on his end that I logged in successfully. But then after putting the token into fluentSMTP, and testing there (using the Email Test tab), fluentSMTP gave me an “Unauthorized” message each time I tried to send a test email. Strangely, the Microsoft specialist was unable to see the login attempt. I ran the test email a few more times, and he never saw the plugin trying to log in, even though it gave me the “Unauthorized” message each time. Has something changed in how Microsoft’s login works, and the plugin needs to be updated? It doesn’t seem like it’s trying to log in at the right place.

    Hello there,

For Outlook connection in Fluent SMTP, we recommend generating the API and secret key using the email that you want to use as a From Email. So, if you would like to use [email protected] as from email then you need to generate the keys using that email.

Generating the API with other email might cause permission issues as Outlook have different permission for different accounts. Also, after generating the API kindly make sure that you are authenticating with the same email. In other words, the From email should be used to generate API keys and authenticate.

Let us know if you face any issues after following this.

    Thank you
