    Dear WP users,?

We have been working on optimizing the webshop of a customer of ours for some time now.?We want to automate the webshop as much as possible.?But now we run into a problem:?

We have a general webshop in which all products are listed, stock is managed via ATUM and orders are processed and invoiced.?At the beginning of the construction of the website, there was a desire to have a “separate” webshop that was optimized for use on a tablet for their agents.?The products are pushed from the general shop to the agent shop every day through a sync.?But now comes the following: The stock does not change when an order is placed on the agents’ website and the invoicing numbering does not match the general numbering.?In short, problem.?

Now my question is: Is it possible to link an extra theme with its own pages to the general shop, so that when an agent places an order via the “agent shop” this is also included in the stock reduction and invoicing is also included.?going well.?My thought went out to Multisite, but I don’t know whether this wish actually works that way.?I hope someone can help me with this.?Thank you!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Multisite would still be separate websites – each site would have it’s own database tables for products and orders.

It’s a bit unclear what the ‘agents’ are. Are they sales staff that are out selling to customers? Or are they independent businesses who are acting like a franchise?

What I’m getting at is: do the agents need separate payment processors, invoices and accounts etc? Or, do all sales come through your own account?

Do the agents’ customers order from the website themselves or do the agents process the order for them?

Thank you Seank123 for your reply.

The Agents are like re-sellers to stores, but they do the orders with an iPad, so we made an more easy order design for the product overview.

The thing is, we want one order list with all the orders, from the regular website and the “agent” website, because of the stock and invoices.

Maybe there is an option the create more themes for one website, so we can add these with other pages for the agents.

Have you considered an epos plugin on the main website instead of multiple websites? Something like: https://codecanyon.net/item/openpos-a-complete-pos-plugins-for-woocomerce/22613341

It would give each user a screen to input orders on the ipad (it just opens a webpage on the website with a new interface to add orders) but is on the main website so no additional sites would be needed. All orders, products etc are on the same site.

I have a client using it to take phone orders and manage sales at trade fairs.

    Hi @smash-on

From what I understand, you want to have a unified system where the stock and invoicing for orders from the general and agent websites are managed together. In this case, using a multisite setup won’t be ideal, as each site will have its own database for products and orders, as already mentioned by @seank123.

However, there’s a potential solution you could consider. You could use a plugin such as WooCommerce Multiple Customer Addresses, Sales Agent for WooCommerce, or WooCommerce Multistore to manage different customer groups (like your agents) and their orders. These plugins can help you manage multiple stores from one WooCommerce installation, thus keeping your inventory and invoices in sync.

Alternatively, you could create a separate interface (theme) for your agents within your existing WooCommerce store. This would require custom development, but it would allow your agents to place orders that would directly affect your main inventory and invoicing system.

Please note that these are just suggestions and might require further exploration based on your specific needs. We recommend consulting with a WooCommerce expert or a web developer to understand the best course of action.

I hope this provides some clarity on the matter. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask.
