I am no longer able to post podcasts because it fails the verify media link check. How do I disable this feature? The media works fine, just the verify step fails with internal server error 500 since a previous update occurred. I posted about this issue, but the post received no answers. Thanks, Chris

Copy/paste your media file URL into the Media URL field and publish the post without verifying. PowerPress should still publish the episode normally, you’ll just be skipping the verification part.

It does not work for me. Nothing shows up, and if I refresh, I the link is gone.

Are you using the latest version of PowerPress? There have been multiple updates to the plugin recently.

Yes, I have it set to auto update, and that part is working. That is what killed it originally in fact. When I get it working again, I will probably turn that off and take disk snapshots on my server so that I can roll back the update if there is an issue.

Reply with the URL of the media file you tried verifying when you received the 500 error so we can do some testing. Also, if possible, post a screenshot of the Podcast Episode box showing the error message and provide a link to the screenshot (unfortunately, this forum doesn’t allow for direct upload of images).

And, what happens when you publish a post after getting the 500 error? PowerPress should still publish the episode normally, regardless of the error.

I can probably make you a log in if that would be easier. Send me an email christopher dot maness at gmail dot com. I am also admin of the server, so if you need access to that we can work that out as well.

    Thanks,

    Chris
