    Hello,

I’m currently using the Super RSS Reader plugin on another website I own and manage. I’ve come across an issue that seems to be due to the plugin’s interaction with that site’s theme.

    Issue Description:
I’ve set up the plugin to display articles from a specific RSS feed. However, I’ve noticed that the theme’s widget, where I only expect to see my site’s own content, is also displaying these RSS articles. This unexpected behavior is causing confusion for my visitors.

    Steps Taken:

    • Made sure there are no other active widgets in that specific area aside from Super RSS Reader.
    • Switched to a default WordPress theme to eliminate any theme-specific issues, but the issue still occurred.
    • Reinstalled the Super RSS Reader plugin.
    • Turned off other plugins to check for any conflicts, yet the problem persisted.

I’m hoping you might be able to offer some guidance or solutions to rectify this issue. Your expertise and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @daniellacatus,

Thanks for the details. The RSS reader displays content as in the RSS feed URL.

Could you please share the RSS feed URL and point the links which is not expected to be seen?

    Thanks,

    Aakash

all articles from these two sites are automatically published in the theme widget.

    Hi @daniellacatus,

As you know the plugin cannot display unless the widget is manually added to the sidebar.

Can you confirm if all the widgets are completely deleted from the sidebar under the widgets page?

Does your theme provide any other way to insert widgets like inside post, pages or home page?

I guess you will have to recall where you have created these widgets with these URLs, because SRR plugin cannot display widgets automatically with the URLs you have provided.

From your page source, the name of the wrapper tag is “front-main-content”, “front-main-content-right-aside” and “theiaStickySidebar”. Please see if you can get any clue from these names.

    Thanks,

    Aakash
