Widget front page crunched

    So I installed and tried every possible set-up for Gtranslate to options for English and Spanish options for our page. Every setting makes my front page crunch! What I mean is, it pulls the footer up to almost covers all the widgets and will not let you scroll the page. I have tried everything I know to do. Any ideas? I had to deactivate the plugin because it made my site unuseable.

    I think I fixed it be trying an answer to another question.
    I added html {height:auto!important}
    And to put it in the right place on the header I put in
    .gt_switcher_wrapper {top:40px!important;position:absolute!important}
