Display taxonomy in backoffice ans select in post

1. You’re going to need to update and edit your template files to display any new taxonomy terms for posts. The theme had no way of determining what taxonomies would be associated ahead of time.
2. To be certain, you registered your own post_tag taxonomy slug? Or you have it named something else, but the labels all just use Tag for UI?

If you want the checkbox version for terms selection, like you see with categories, set the custom taxonomy to be “hierarchical”. There is a true/false dropdown for that option.

If you’re wanting to also edit the terms in quick edit/quick change, make sure you set “Show in quick/bulk edit panel.” to true as well.

Sorry we misunderstood. In fact I only have the option to check in quick modfication and not in the post.

Can you paste me your settings for both the post types and the taxonomies? You should be able to get both via the CPTUI Tools menu. First tab would be the post types, and the blob of content on the right would be the settings, then repeat for the second tab, which would be your taxonomies.

No personal information is stored in them, just the content types you’ve registered with their arguments.

I’m curious if I could recreate the issue and/or determine what’s going on with that.

Alright, as is, I see these content types:

Post types: commerce, bureau

Taxonomies: etiquettes, categorie, categorie-dossier-commerce, tags

The taxonomy in question is “tags”, and that’s associated with the “bureau” post type.

Definitely odd behavior overall.

I’m looking at https://developer.www.ads-software.com/reference/functions/register_taxonomy/#reserved-terms and I know they have tag listed, I’m wondering if tags should also be listed, based on this behavior.

I renamed the taxonomy to bureau_tags and things just started working like expected. So if you’re in a position where you could rename, that may be the best course to go here, as I think the issue is coming from within the depths of WP core here. Not something from CPTUI itself.
