A few hours ago I made an update to this site, I added some information to a page and also added some articles. My website is in 2 languages: Romanian (first language) and English (second language). I built the website in wordpress with elementor, added the Polylang plug-in and put the language widget in the top header.
Now my problem is that when I am in the basic language, Romanian, and I select English, the site automatically switches to English (it doesn’t matter what page I’m on). But when I want to switch from English to Romanian, it doesn’t work.
And the even weirder part is that when I’m in English on the “news” page and I select to switch to Romanian, it switches to Romanian “contact us” page.

    What can i do?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching out

The translations made with TranslatePress are string-based, so those are saved string by string in your database. In other words, the architecture of these plugins is different, TP saves translations at the string level, while Polylang saves at the post level, making the translations to be incompatible.

If you decide to use our plugin, you will need to translate the content from 0.

As more than 5 days have passed since my colleague have responded, I will close this ticket as resolved, if you still want us to take a look, please let us know by creating a new ticket.
