• I have a WordPress blog where I would like to include Facebook and Instagram posts mixed in with the WordPress posts. Is this possible? What I have on the site now is exclusively WordPress posts, however I post a bunch of relevant content on Facebook. I would like to auto add these Facebook posts to the WordPress site and have them look as though they are a WordPress post.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Howdy, I’d point you to these articles here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/embeds/

    https://optimizerwp.com/wordpress-embed-guide/

However, as I was reading the docs (first link I included) I saw a very disappointing paragraph:

Facebook?and?Instagram: Due to Facebook’s?decision to close the oEmbed end?point for embedding Facebook and Instagram links, the block will not work anymore after October 24, 2020. To embed Facebook and Instagram links into your site, you need a developer account and an appid, and provide an authentication token with their call to the endpoint. Refer to the?Facebook Documentation.”

I can’t say whether it’s possible or not, but it sounds doubtful without getting an appid etc.

Hope it answers your question, even if it doesn’t “help”.

    Update:

I just thought you could do this via Zapier via a zap that is triggered via a new facebook post and the action would be to create a new wordpress post from the facebook post.

Just a thought, let me know what you think.
