    Hello,

We sell digital downloads on our store.

The settings for our downloads are set correctly (they are set at 3 downloads max to avoid abuse/sharing of links, and the links are set to never expire).

Everything works perfectly fine 99% of the time, but every now and then, something seems to go wrong. The customer emails us saying he couldn’t download the files because when he clicks the download link, he gets the following error: “Sorry, you have reached your download limit.” As far as I can tell, it’s not that he clicked 3 times, the downloads failed, and then he got the limit error; he got the error when he clicked for the first time.

Any ideas of what could be causing this?

    Thanks!

    Same problem here.
And it is something that i have for years now.

My guess is that it has something tot do with anti-virus programs that “scans” the link…

No solution so far here other then give te client a few new tries for the link.
