Will updating a child and parent theme (Finoptis) lose any changes?

    Due to constant hacking and recommendation from WPMU DEV support, we need to reinstall the Finoptis and Finoptis Child themes. Will that overwrite changes made to the site under the child theme? We’re using a staging site, of course. Thank you!
